Cape Town International Airport water main installation: HDD 

A new 315mm diameter pipe was installed under one of the taxi runways of the Cape Town International Airport. This enabled the pipeline to be installed without any disruption to the aircraft. The total length of pipe installed measured 162m and was installed at a depth of 1.5m below runway level.
